He was a successful doctor and served as a chief physician of Baghdad and Ray hospitals. Through translation, his medical works and ideas became known among medieval European practitioners and profoundly influenced medical education in the West. He is considered the father of psychology and psychotherapy. Razi"s The Diseases of Children was the first monograph to deal with pediatrics as an independent field of medicine. His works present the first systematic classification of carefully observed and verified facts regarding chemical substances, reactions, and apparatus, described in a language almost entirely free from mysticism and ambiguity.
The Office of International and Scientific Cooperation of University of Mazandaran congratulates his birthday.
